Race Date: Saturday, February 11, 2012

Location: Rikert Nordic Center, Ripton, VT. 

Distance: The course will start at the Rikert Nordic Center in Ripton, VT and follow the Catamount Trail and other wilderness trails in the scenic Moosalamoo National Recreation Area. These wilderness trails will be groomed classic style specifically for this event and no skating will be allowed. The Tour Category will ski the 15km loop while racers will have a choice between the 15km (one loop course) or the 25km course (two loop course). 

Type of Event: Classic-style technique for both the race division (timed event) and tour division (non-timed event) 

Start Times: Both Tour and Race Divisions start at 11:00am. Tour Division will assemble in back of the race division at the start.

Awards Party: Awards will take place at 3:00pm with handmade stoneware mugs awarded to the top 3 age group skiers in each of the 25km race categories. ALL participants (racers and tourists) will be eligible to win raffle prizes. Food and music will be provided. 

Packet Pick up: At Rikert's Milk House between 9:00am - 10:30am on the day of the event. Registration covers the trail pass at Rikert Nordic Center for the day. 

Day of Event Registration: Only available if the event has not filled to 300 participants by the day of the event.

Entry Fees:
Before January 31st
15km race or tour: $25 ($15 fee per skier with teams of ten or more racers)
25km race: $50. 
After January 31st 
15km race or tour: $40 
25km race: $65 

AGE CATEGORIES

15 Kilometer Tour
No age categories for the tour. All participants will receive post-race food and a raffle ticket for prizes.

15 Kilometer Race
There will be no age group awards for the 15 km race, but participants will be listed with age categories in the results. All participants will receive post-race food and a raffle ticket for prizes.

25 Kilometer Half Marathon Race 
The top 3 finishers, both male and female, in the following age group categories will be awarded handmade stoneware mugs. All participants will receive post-race food and a raffle ticket for prizes.
